Armand Grobler – Professional Wildlife Photographer, Author & Conservationist

Armand Grobler is the Director and Co-Owner of Rhulani Photo and Film (previously Rhulani Safaris). Rhulani Photo and Film is the umbrella company and offers specialises photographic tours, commercial productions and research. A professional wildlife photographer, published author, and passionate storyteller, Armand is deeply committed to capturing and preserving the soul of Africa through his lens and creative vision.

Armand’s photographic work has earned international recognition, with awards and accolades spanning South Africa, the United Kingdom, Australia, and the United States. His iconic photograph Elephant Itch marked the beginning of a celebrated career that continues to inspire. His images have featured in high-profile publications and competitions, including the Remembering Wildlife 10-year edition, as a finalist in the prestigious Natural History Museum Wildlife Photographer of the Year, on SABC News, and on the covers of numerous local and international magazines.

Despite his youth, Armand’s experience and artistic eye has made him a highly sought-after photographic safari guide. His approachable nature and passion for education mean he’s always eager to share techniques and artistic insights with fellow photographers in the field.

A lifelong fascination with wildlife and photography led Armand to found Rhulani Safaris in 2017, merging his two great passions into a single vision. In 2021, he became the youngest published author at the esteemed HPH Publishing, where his debut book quickly sold out, receiving consistent 5-star reviews.

Spending up to 300 days a year immersed in the African wilderness, Armand is either on safari or lives modestly in a 6x4m tent while working on commercial photo and film projects such as PHOTO SAFARI KRUGER and the forthcoming EDEN: SOUL OF AFRICA.

Born in South Africa and raised in Australia, Armand eventually followed his heart back to Africa, the land that fuels his creativity and purpose. With a deep love for people and nature, he uses his work to teach others to see the intricate artistry of the natural world in an art form he has mastered through years of living in and photographing the wild.
